It’s Time To Step Up
The genocide, and the events of October 7th, didn’t happen in a vacuum. They came from almost 80 years of the Western world empowering ethnic cleansing, stripping of human rights, and illegal settlements to keep happening in the apartheid state that is Israel. The best time to do something was years ago. The second best time is today.

Mutual Aid for Alaa’s family
I was fortunate enough to meet Alaa early in 2024 through the wonderful work of Project Love Brocade, a group amplifying verified mutual aid campaigns in Gaza. He has become a friend I am able to chat with regularly and occasionally video call. His family’s GoFundMe could use as much attention as possible!
If instead you would like to maximize the funds that go straight to help their family, you can donate directly to the funds I now also collect and transfer to them since GoFundMe takes a lot of fees and reduces how much is actually sent. Note that the GoFundMe currency is DKK-this is Danish Kronor, and because there are a lot of blocks getting money straight from American fundraising sites to people in Gaza, an intermediary has to be used. $10USD is about 70DKK.
